Any of my friends who are techies: Does anyone know why Firefox keeps deleting my history, favorites and bookmarks? It will allow me to save them, but then every time I open the program again, they're all gone.
I did something today that made me really proud of myself.
There is this one guy I work with, an older guy, who pretty much constantly--at least a few times a day--makes comments about how fat and overweight I am. What's funny is that he's not exactly slim himself...his gut literally sits in his lap when he sits down. I usually just try to shrug it off, or just run in the bathroom and cry or something. But today, at around 12:30 pm and after about the 8th "fat" comment of the day, I just snapped. I said something along the lines of :
"You know what? You can shut the hell up. I'm NOT fat. Day in and day out, you are constantly making cracks about me being overweight, and I'm getting pretty fucking sick of it. You can keep quiet about my weight from now on."
There was silence in the truck for about ten full minutes.
I'm probably going to get fired, but I don't even care =D

Now bear in mind I've only listened to it once thus far, but as it's been almost five years in the making, I'm quite excited to get this out there.
So, based on listening to it once: It's no Smash, and it's no Americana, but it's also no Splinter or Conspiracy of One. Thank God for that!
A longer review to come later, when I've listened more than once. =D

I've been on a Brand New kick lately. They're one of my favorite bands, but for some reason I always forget to listen to them...then I think, "Why don't I listen to them more?" They have great lyrics that often fit my moods. "Play Crack the Sky" sums it up pretty well:
We sent out the SOS call
It was a quarter past four when the storm broke our second anchor line
Four months at sea, four months of calm seas
To be pounded in the shallows off the tip of Montauk Point
They call them rogues, they travel fast and alone
One hundred foot faces of God's good ocean gone wrong
What they call love is a risk, 'cause you will always get hit out of nowhere
By some wave and end up on your own.
The hole in the hull defied the crew's attempts to bail us out
And flooded the engines and radio and half buried the bow.
Your tongue is a rudder, it steers the whole ship
Sends your words past your lips or keeps them safe behind your teeth
But the wrong words will strand you
Come off course while you sleep
Sweep your boat out to sea or dashed to bits on the reef.
The vessel groans, the ocean pressures its frame
To the port I see the lighthouse through the sleet and the rain
And I wish for one more day to give my love and repay debts
But the morning finds our bodies washed up thirty miles west
They say that the captain stays fast with the ship through still and storm
But this ain't the Dakota, and the water is cold
We won't have to fight for long
This is the end.
This story's old but it goes on and on until we disappear
Calm me and let me taste the salt you breathed while you were underneath
I am the one who haunts your dreams of mountains sunk below the sea
I spoke the words but never gave a thought to what they all could mean
I know that this is what you want, a funeral keeps both of us apart
You know that you are not alone, I need you like water in my lungs

To everyone who was nice enough to hang out with me this weekend: I had a really fun time. It was just what I needed to lift my spirits a little. =)
Due to a fortunate turn of events, I am going to be visiting the 'Burgh June 6-8th!
...if anyone cares. =D

In other news, I successfully set up wireless in my house today, and am coming to you live from my living room couch. Anyways, I stole from Kyle...you know the drill, I give you the first line of a song, you give me the name and artist! Hopefully it will help your boredom as much as it helped mine! =D
( Here it is. )
